It's February, which means we're in the final countdown to get the store ready for our grand opening on February 28th. While the storefront may not look like much has changed yet, let me assure you—we've been hard at work behind the scenes!
The Warehouse is Filling Up!
Walk into Zerra & Co.’s warehouse in Woodberry right now and you'll find boxes upon boxes of zero waste goodies piling up. We're slowly but surely checking each item in, photographing it, adding it to the website, and getting everything ready to hit the shelves.
It's a meticulous process, but an exciting one. Each box we open feels like Christmas morning—"Look at all of these mason jar lids!" and “The prints on these reusable paper towels are sooo cute.” The team and I are so excited to show you everything we’ve picked out.
The bulk items are taking the longest to arrive (as expected), so they'll likely be the last products we add to both the website and the physical shelves. But trust me, they're worth the wait.
Speaking of Bulk... Here's What We've Ordered!
Since there aren't many bulk products live on the website yet, I wanted to give you a sneak peek at what we've ordered for our bulk and unpackaged section. One thing I'm particularly excited about: there will be unscented options for almost everything, plus a variety of scents for our more popular products. We want to make sure everyone can find products that work for their sensitivities and preferences.
Home Care Products
Our home care section is going to be STOCKED. Here's what you can expect:
- Laundry Detergent (both liquid and powder options)
- Dish Soap (liquid, blocks, and powder—take your pick!)
- Hand Soap (liquid and foaming varieties)
- Soft Scrub (think Pink Stuff or Bar Keeper's Friend, but refillable)
- Toilet Cleaning Bombs (just drop and scrub!)
- Garbage Disposal Cleaning Tabs
- All Purpose Cleaner (liquid w/ antibacterial properties)
- Bathroom Cleaner
- Floor Cleaner
- Castile Soap (in multiple scents)
- Hypochlorous Acid (a non-toxic disinfectant that actually works)
- Orange Oil (a plant-based Goo Gone alternative)
The goal here is simple: you should be able to clean your entire home without buying a single plastic bottle. Bring your own containers, fill up what you need, and only pay for the product itself.

This is where things get really fun. Our personal care section is extensive because, well, it’s what we’re experts in. You’ll see a lot of options from our sister company Zerra & Co. as well as dozens of other local small brands. Whether you prefer liquids, bars, or creams, we've got you covered:

Construction Starts This Week
For those of you who have been anxiously watching the space and wondering when things will start looking more "store-like," I have exciting news: this week is the week!
The store has been designed. Cabinets have been ordered and will be delivered in a matter of days. Paint has been swatched and selected. So as of this week, we're finally ready to begin construction and start building out the store. This is the moment where things go from "empty retail space with some boxes" to "actual zero waste refill shop." I'm beyond excited to finally get started!

The Final Countdown
We're 26 days away from opening day. Twenty-six days until Market Goods becomes a real, tangible place where you can shop package-free and refill your favorite products. Twenty-six days until we start making a dent in plastic waste together.
